Our Stay in the NICU

Jordan & Jeremy were in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the first three months of their lives. They encountered many obstacles but fought their way through and we are so very happy they are here with us today. At one point when they were about 2 weeks old, Jordan got an infection from his IV and was doing very poorly & at the same time Jeremy developed a blood clot that moved into his heart and things did not look too well at all - but much to my astonishing amazement, they made it though the toughest of times!

I've put together some of my favorite pictures of their time in the NICU - hope you enjoy them!!

After 3 days Jordan was taken off the respirator and could breathe on his own.

Jordan

When Jordan was 2 weeks old he developed an infection and had to be put back on the respirator because he was too weak to breathe for himself.

Jordan & Mom

Jordan weighed 3lbs. 11 ozs. when he was 1 1/2 months old.

Jeremy was finally taken off the respirator after 3 1/2 weeks. He was put on C-Pap for a day and then nasal canula.

Once Jeremy was taken off the respirator we could finally hold him!!! It was a very long 3 1/2 week wait, but worth it!

Jeremy & Dad

Mom & her boys when they were 2 1/2 months old. Jordan (left) & Jeremy (right). It was so nice to hold both boys at once. At 2 months old Jordan weighed 6 lbs. 4 ozs. and Jeremy weighed 6 lbs. 1 oz.
