My husband & I wanted to share our story with the world about the early arrival of our twin boys and the trials and joys we've had to deal with in the first 4 years of their lives. They were born 2 1/2 months early (at 29 weeks gestation) and both have special needs. Jordan has Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy and Jeremy was born with a birth defect with his left leg (fibular aplagia) that required amputation of his foot and he now wears a prosthesis. It is truly a miracle that we are sharing our life with our beautiful boys right now! Maybe there are some of you who can relate to some of the stories or maybe even offer us some advice. I hope that your time spent here is enjoyable!! Life is demanding with any children but when they have special needs a lot more demands have to be met. There is just so much more to think about mentally & with Jordan it is getting physically hard to carry him from point A to B. Jordan & Jeremy are children first and then have special needs, they enjoy doing what every other child likes to do even though sometimes, Jordan has to work twice as hard to accomplish something. Their spirit is overwhelming!!! Please sign my guestbook with any comments or reactions you have to my site or contact me directly. |
